updates not working

Hello!

I bought a license for the Email Costumizer so i can keep my website and all plugins up to date. I  installed the payed version via filezilla. Unfortunately I am not able to update the plugin. It still says 'register here to get this update' if i click on it it loops me back to the wordpress plugin site.

Thanks in advance!

Hi

You need to enter your CodeCanyon purchase code to make the updates available.

Have you entered it in the Plugins page yet?

Thanks

Hi Zack!

Thank you for your answer!

I have the purchase Code but I am not sure where i am supposed to enter it. If I click on any of the 'register here'  links, the page loads but i end up on the wordpress plugin page again (the one where all installed plugins are shown). The only link working is the Plugin-Homepage link which directs me to the code canyon shop site where I am able to download my license.

kind regards!

Hi

On the Plugins page in the WordPress dashboard you should see a Register for Updates link next to the plugin.

That will prompt you to input the purchase code and then the updates should work.

Hi Zack!

I see the link. But when I click on it i get redirected to the wordpress plugin site.  (like refreshing the page, i end up on the top of the page again)

kind regards!

That's weird... seems like another plugin could be causing a javascript error on the plugins page... That would probably stop the popup from working.

Do you know how to test for this?

Otherwise if you can send us login details then I can have a look myself.

Thanks

Hello Zack!

Sorry, I don't know how to test this and I will definitely not give a third party the login details for the website.
The E-Mail Customizer is the only plugin I have problems with. All the other Plugins work fine. Everything is up to date and other links on the plugin page are responding like they are supposed to.

kind regards

Do you know how to test for javascript errors?

See here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors

It works without error on our dev and demo site so this makes me think it's another plugin causing this.

Thanks
